Cais do Sodré Cabaret at RItz Clube
5th Anniversary

Welcome back to Expat in Lisbon! Today I have a very special treat for you in the form of scantily clad women and amorous couples dancing the night away! This night Lindy Hop Portugal decided to team up with the Cais do Sodré Cabaret to throw a grand ball at the Ritz Clube.

Cais do Sodré Cabaret

Cais do Sodrè Cabaret is a retro-vintage party featuring burlesque dances, vaudeville style djs, and everything that was cool and (still) hip about the 1920′s and 30′s. Lindy Hop Portugal teamed with with Cais do Sodrè Cabaret to throw a joint party and it was a huge success. I think the two go very well together!

We were treated to a very provocative and slightly scandalous burlesque show! That’s what we came for right? There were plenty of catcalls and whistling going on (from both the men and women) and even a Communist flag waving! Senator McCarthy is rolling over in his grave.

The Cais do Sodrè Cabaret consists of Gogo Lolita, Lilly Blanche, Mad-Moiselle Poison Rouge (I think she´s the red head), Michelle d´Orleans, Pepper Anne Jo, and Señorita Scarlett!

Wow! Uh, where was I? Oh yeah…

After the burlesque the retro band, Carl Rhythm and the All Stars, started playing some good ol’ time classics from the era.
