So there is this Ask Me Lisboa info desk in the middle of Baixa/Chiado with this super hot Portuguese girl working there. I asked her a couple questions before (directions, where to buy stuff) in the past and I made a mental note to ask her out one day. Today was that day. Suffice it to say it was funny. There was a huge line of tourists waiting to ask her questions as usual. I had to wait in this line while my level of nervousness mounted. When it was my turn I stepped up and smiled.
The convo:
Me: Podes me ajuda? Estou perdido… (Can you help me? I’m lost) *looks lost*
Angela: Esta? Onde queres ir? (You are? Where do you want to go?)
Me: Não sei…
Angela: *looks perplexed*
Me: Estou perdido em teus olhos (I’m lost in your eyes) *!!!!LOOOLLLZZZ!!!1!*
Her: LOLLLLZZZZZZZ….That’s a good one
Me: Qual é teu nome? (What’s your name?)
Angela: Sou Angela (I’m Angela)
Me: Sou Justino, muito prazer (I’m Justin, a pleasure)
*Shakes hands*
Me: Queres tomar uma cafe comigo? (Do you want to have coffee with me)
Angela: Não, I have a boyfriend and he’s very jealous, we are getting married actually
Me: Onde é seu anel? (Where is your ring?) *She’s not wearing a ring, she shows me her bare left hand*
Angela: I don’t have a ring yet.
Me: You must be getting sick of him then.
Angela: No LOL, there are many pretty Portuguese girls in Lisbon, so, move along *OUCH!*
Me: I know, but your the best one I’ve found so far
Angela: Are you kidding me? LOL
Me: Ok fine, well, how do you get to the Cafe Brasileira?
Angela: *Gives directions*
Me: Ok thanks, what’s the best place to take you for a date?
Angela: Are you serious? LOLZ Are you kidding me?
After that I just gave her my number and web address for Facebook and this blog and said goodbye. Oh well. It was good for a laugh.
FODA-SE!

And now your moment of Zen, some hot Portuguese girls on the beach. Yes!

haha Great
Lol! Well, it IS called “Ask Me” right?
It is indeed! You’d think that she’d be a little less surprised… A girl like that must be getting hit on all day long. I guess I may have done a good acting job. Maybe next time I’ll ask for directions to her heart….LOL
HAHAHA…Sorry but I laugh all the way till the end. Man, you are courageous.
Just an advice. Go slower next time. Oh, and don’t use the phrase at the top “Ask me Lisboa” …hahaha…It’s a portuguese joke that leads us portuguese to think about “Ask me “és boa?”"(“Ask me “Your hot?”")…hahaha
